One of the hardest things about representing a nurse before the Board is that anyone can make an allegation against the nurse and report it.  Many times, these can be a “he said … she said” situation. “The nurse gave me only 1 type of codone instead of 2!”  “The nurse held my arms so tight; I got a bruise!”  “The nurse took money from my wallet!”  And the list goes on and on. The Biggest Poison In Nursing

We all have an ego which serves the purpose of keeping us safe.  One thing it does in protecting us is it causes us to judge others which then makes us feel better. When Helping Can Hurt You

As nurses, while we really want to help our patients, we sometimes find that our being helpful can get us into trouble.  As you know, we are required to follow tons of rules.  We have to watch our professional boundaries to make sure we are not overstepping.
